Process: How to process Warranty Return for Geotab Devices

REMARK:

  • This procedure applies only to warranty returns for Geotab devices, excluding third party products and Order Now products.
  • For specific information regarding the Geotab Hardware Warranty, please refer to the Warranty Period section of the Geotab Partner Policy.

Geotab strongly encourages returns of old devices for standard warranty issues. We facilitate returns by offering labels in select regions. Returned devices undergo quality testing and environmental recycling. Consider participating in Geotab's Go Recycle program to dispose of old hardware responsibly.

General procedure:

  1. Replacement Request: If you require a replacement, please submit your order through MyAdmin's replacement order process to avoid shipping charges.

  2. Return labels: A return label will be included with the replacement order or provided remotely. The process varies per location:

      PLEASE NOTE: Geotab only issues return labels for warranty claims and Geotab-initiated investigations. Partners will be charged for shipping on any sales return made with this label. Returns must have a current RMA number; those with expired, absent, or unauthorized details risk being returned at the sender's expense or disposal by Geotab if sender details are unclear.


      SpainArrange a pick-up by emailing logistics.eu@geotab.com with your chosen date and time.
      Other European regionsUse DHL to generate a return label. First-time users require Account activation. Instructions label creations are located in RMA Return Process: How to Create a Return Label .
      Outside the US, Canada and EuropeDifferent areas may have unique return procedures. For seamless returns, please consult your Partner Account Manager for the latest guidelines.


  3. Packaging: Place the defective product in the replacement box or use a robust package with protective cushioning.

  4. Sealing and labeling: Close the return box securely, put the return label, and clearly display the RMA number.
    PLEASE NOTE: For Devices with Dangerious Goods (e.g. GO Anywhere devices with lithium batteries), reuse the same replacement box if in good condition.

  5. Shipping Details: Please note the shipment's tracking number and date.
